Below is a list of Maui Disaster Relief community resources, including County of Maui approved resources for support and assistance.

Mental Health Resources

- Free telehealth services, including mental health counseling, evaluations, and medication.
- Confidential counseling for wildfire survivors and families.
- HMSA free counseling services 24/7 for those experiencing mental distress or in need of assistance with food, housing, and other essential needs. You do not need to be a member. 800.580.6934.
- Mental Health America: Disaster Distress Helpline (DDH):
- Toll-free, multilingual (over 100 languages), crisis support service available 24/7 to all residents experiencing emotional distress related to disaster. Call or text 1-800-985-5990.
- Hawaii CARES 808:

Local crisis counselors are available 24/7 via phone, text, or chat to connect you with resources for mental illness, substance use, suicide prevention, as well as services for children and adolescents.

Housing Financial Assistance Resources
- Catholic Charities Hawaii (CCH) State Homeless Emergency Grants Program:
- CNHA Host Housing Support Program - $350/person, up to $1500/household:

- FEMA - up to 18 months of rental assistance, but you must find your own housing.

Maui United Way (MUW 211)
If you have found that you have exhausted all of these resources or need additional help, please contact:
Maui United Way (MUW) will work to connect you with services available in the community via a Case Manager. This service is available for individuals and families, including seniors.
Areas include health care, basic needs, consumer concerns, treatment services, tax & legal services, non-profit and government assistance programs.
If eligible, your need will be presented to the Ho`ōla iā Mauiakama, Long Term Recovery Group for consideration. hoolamauiltrg.org (website pending)

- Over 1,800+ households applied for financial assistance during our open application period in October 2023. St. Anthony of Padua Church has distributed over $1M+ in gift cards and in-kind products since September 2023.
We are not currently accepting new applications at this time.
