Fr. Terry and Fr. Ace took our SAS Senior class out for lunch today. The seniors recommended @manolismaui at Wailea. Great time to celebrate their achievement and for Fr. Terry and Fr. Ace to thank them for their work as leaders in our school and church community. #graduation #seniors #classof2024 #maui
PRAYERS FOR THIS PERSON! This was reported from the Co-Cathedral of St. Theresa in Honolulu. Someone vandalized and destroyed the statue of the Blessed Mother that was on the grounds of the church. We pray for healing and peace upon this person who did such act. As today’s Gospel Jesus said, “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world,
and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you.” (John 15:18-19)
On Wednesday, Jeremy Rivera and Michael Wong lead our Men in a talk and faith sharing. Jeremy was born and raised Catholic but left the Church and became an evangelical pastor. He’s now back in the Catholic Church and doing God’s work of sharing his story. Jeremy encouraged our men to say yes to God and allow that small yes to transform us; we will never what God can do with a small window of our yes.
Last night (Tuesday, 4/16/24) some of the priests from our Maui and Lana’i Vicariate enjoyed an evening of prayer and fellowship. After all the work they put in during Lent, Holy Week and Easter Sunday it was nice for them to rest awhile.
Fr. Efren led them with Evening Prayer in the chapel along with reflection about his 43 years as a priest. Fr.
Terry hosted the priests with pupus and dinner.
It is wonderful to hear priests laugh and relax as brothers. Continue to pray for our priests and pray for more men to discern the vocation to priesthood. #easter #fellowship #prayer #brothers #one
Don’t forget to pray today and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God for another day in our lives. The Catechism of the Catholic Church says that prayer is the “raising of one’s mind and heart to God.” You don’t know how to pray or what to say? Just pray the prayer Jesus taught us! #prayer #orapronobis #ourfather This photo is from our Family Retreat this past Saturday. After a prayer of blessing from Fr. Ace at the airport - our St. Anthony School Band and Choir are on their way to California! They will be performing this week at Disneyland and Universal Studios! Prayers for safe travels to all the students, parents and staff on this trip! A Hui Hou!! Go with our love and support!
Fr. Ace giving an explanation and demonstration on baptism to the keikis and their family. 25 of our children had their Confirmation retreat this morning as part of their preparation to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation on June 1, 2024 at 11am with Bishop Larry Silva. #baptism #stain #sin #reborn #confirmation #retreat #stayclosetojesusalways

Every year, Fr. Ace teaches and reminds the people of God about the "Easter Vigil Alleluia" where he sings it and the assembly tries to echo it back. It's always good fun listening to the people attempt this Alleluia! Mostly, it's a good way to have fun and start off with joy on Easter morning.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR for this wonderful event on June 2, 2024 within our Maui/Lana'i Vicariate. Please invite friends, family, catholics and non-catholics to join us in this walk with Jesus.
We will start with the celebration of the Mass and then our procession will lead us out to the streets of Wailuku and Kahului. This will be a time to literally bring our Lord to the roads of our island. Help give witness to His love and most of all bring healing to the 'aina.
Join us that day. Purchase also your Eucharistic Revival shirt with the QR code provided.
Mahalo!!
7th and final word of Jesus: “Father, into your hands I commend my spirit” : “Jesus’ 6th word is a goodbye to the earth and the 7th is his entrance into Heaven. Jesus trusted in His Father from the beginning even to the end. We must learn to commend our life and spirit to the Father. For faith in Him assures us that God the Father will take care us in this life and in the next.” Fr. Ace #holyweek #spywednesday #adoration #7lastwordsofchrist
6th word: “it is finished” - God did the work! The cry of Jesus is a sense that the work of redemption is complete BUT now starts our work. Jesus built the foundation for us to build on it. He gave us all we need to achieve Heaven, we just need to meet him there. -Fr. Ace #7lastwordsofchrist #lentenreflection #lentenjourney #adoration #eucharisticrevival2024
On the solemnity of St. Joseph, Spouse of the Blessed Mother, was the kickoff meeting for our new Men’s Ministry. Brothers Resilient In Christ, is the name of this ministry. It was a great turn out and we pray for St. Joseph to intercede for them as they come to grow in love of God and His Church.
Mahalo, Kainoa of @epicministryhi for responding to Fr. Ace’s last minute invitation to share some mana’o with our men this evening.

Join our Vicariate for the Chrism Mass on Thursday, March 14.
Chrism Mass is one of the most beautiful Mass of Church. At the Chrism Mass the bishop blesses the 3 oils used for the sacraments. It is also at that Mass that the priests renews their priestly promises.
Stt. Anthony will provide a bus transport to the Mass. Call and let us know if you would like a seat on the bus.
Our Parish Stewardship Report is printed and published on our website.

"Be merciful as your Heavenly Father is merciful."
Lent is a season for opportunities to mend relationships with God and our neighbors. One of the greatest way to do that is with the Sacrament of Confession.
Here is a schedule of Penance Services within our Maui parishes.

Great turn out tonight for Adoration! As we come together to pray and be with our Lord. As Fr. Ace mentioned in his reflection, “let’s FACETIME with Jesus!” Tonight is the first night and Fr. Ace shared with us the 1st and 2nd words of Jesus - how our Lord forgave those who were literally crucifying him. And also, the cry of the thief to remember him. Our Lord will fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah “to set captures free” - our Lord can free us from any bonds that keeps us as prisoners. Join us every Wednesday of Lent for adoration at 6pm. #lent #eucharisticadoration #reflection
On Valentine's Day couples reflect, on the times when they were once strangers, then they changed to friends; changed to a couple; changed to fiance, changed to husband and wife; and then changed to mother and father.
How fitting that this year's Lent starts on the same day as Valentine's Day. For LENT is a season of CHANGE! We are called to reflect on what I need to change so I can grow in relationship with my God and others. (Excerpt from Fr. Ace's homily today).
